Emma's Wall Hanging/Quilt Kit

This kit is based on the Emma Hale Smith Quilt on display in the Mansion House in Nauvoo, Illinois. It includes patter, directions and fabric for a 30-inch by 30-inch wall hanging top for 4 blocks of a quilt. Smith family oral history says that Emma used material from Joseph and Hyrum Smith's suits. The original quilt uses a variety of fabrics, and you can add the materials of your choice.

Materials needed to complete
  • The Wall Hanging or Quilt:
  • Lightweight fusible interfacing
  • Batting
  • #10 Crochet Thread (yellow, white, or color you want)
  • Dark blue thread
